What is happening in our own communities? Let’s get back to grassroots and take care of the Land.
Farmers, anglers, hunters, loggers, road crews, beekeepers, earth-movers, gardeners, hikers, walkers…..We Want You!
  • Land Knowledge Circles are for those who have a residence in The Land Between region and have direct first-hand experience of the land and wildlife; to provide testimonies of what they have seen.
  • We will be hosting Talking Circle Conferences for landowners in 4 catchment areas across the region
  • Circle Conferences are open-houses on Saturday’s from 10 am – 4 pm. Lunch is provided. These events are free. Please mark your calendars and register!

For Haliburton, Simcoe, Muskoka, Parry Sound:

  • Saturday September 16th in Gravenhurst, Gravenhurst Centennial Centre, Terry Fox Room, 101 Centennial Drive

For City of Kawartha Lakes, Peterborough, east- Haliburton and Hastings:

  • Saturday October 14th in Buckhorn, Buckhorn Community Centre, 1801 Lakehurst Rd, Buckhorn

For Lennox-Addington, Frontenac, Lanark, and east:

  • Saturday October 28th in Verona, Verona Lions Club, 4504 Verona Sand Rd

For East-Peterborough, North-Northumberland, Hastings, and Lennox-Addington:

  • Saturday November 4th in Madoc, Hastings Arts Centre, 230 Durham St South Madoc

Land Knowledge Circles are for those who have direct first-hand experience of the land and wildlife; those who have witnessed direct changes to the environment in order to provide testimonies of what they have seen.

These events are not for organizational networking or promotions, nor are they forums to share opinions or ideas: political agendas, organizational positioning, or promotions are counter-productive to these events.  Therefore, preferential seating will be given to those landowners/resource users/land-lovers.

These Land Knowledge Circles are free to the public. Lunch and refreshments will be served. Seating is limited, so please register.
